In 2016, the Public Museum School was one of 10 schools to receive a $10 million grant from XQ Institute. Sponsored by Emerson Collective, the philanthropic organization of Laurene Powell Jobs, XQ: The Super School Project had a simple premise: The world has changed, but high school still looks like it did 100 years ago. XQ’s Super School Project was an open call to educators, students, parents and community leaders to reimagine high school for the modern world.
